This domain brings together the training that protects people, the environment and the product at the same time: chemicals, waste, process accidents, emergencies, carbon footprint and, for pharmaceutical sites, good manufacturing practice (GMP). Every programme starts from an identified reference text and a real risk on your site, whether you run a plant in Morocco, a regional hub in West Africa or a subsidiary reporting to a European group.
In the 2027 training catalogue, these courses sit in three domains: environment, energy and climate; occupational health and safety; and management system standards. The pharmaceutical topics described below (GMP, data integrity, cleanroom, qualification and validation) are not listed there as catalogue courses: they are delivered as custom courses built on your procedures and your latest inspection or audit findings.

What do Moroccan rules say about chemicals and waste?
The Labour Code sets the employer’s duties on hazardous substances, and Law No. 28-00 governs hazardous waste from the point of production to the treatment facility.
On chemicals, an employer may not let staff use substances recognised as dangerous by the competent authority, or use them in conditions contrary to the regulations (Labour Code, art. 287). The employer must ensure that hazardous substances carry a hazard warning on their packaging (art. 288) and must give new hires written information on health and safety provisions (art. 24), according to the consolidated version of the Code published by the Ministry of Justice on the Adala portal. For classification, labelling and safety data sheet content, the course works with the UN GHS and the EU CLP Regulation, the references used by your suppliers and European customers, without presenting them as Moroccan texts.
On waste, Law No. 28-00 on waste management and disposal (consolidated version published by the General Secretariat of the Government) sets clear rules for hazardous waste:
- treatment only in specialised facilities designated by the authorities, where generators must take it (art. 29);
- collection and transport subject to authorisation (art. 30);
- labelled packaging and containers (art. 31);
- a tracking slip naming the consignor, carrier, consignee, nature, quantity and disposal route (art. 32);
- no mixing with other waste unless a derogation is granted (art. 35);
- a register kept by the generator and an annual return to the authorities (art. 37).
Article 34 changes how we train: whoever hands hazardous waste to an unauthorised person is jointly liable for any damage. Checking the collector’s authorisation becomes part of the storekeeper’s job, not just a contract clause. The list of hazardous waste is set by regulation (art. 29): the course checks it against the actual waste on your site.
How should ATEX and emergency response be handled on a Moroccan site?
Start from the accident scenario: ATEX training teaches people to prevent the explosion, emergency training teaches them to respond if it happens anyway.
European Directive 1999/92/EC, the ATEX “workplace” directive, is our method. As summarised by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work, it requires the employer to assess explosion risks, classify places into zones, keep an explosion protection document up to date, and inform and train exposed workers. A grain silo, a paint shop or a solvent-handling unit are typical cases.
The emergency plan is worked on with the same teams. ISO 14001:2026 and ISO 45001:2018 both require organisations to prepare for and respond to emergencies. In Morocco, the safety and health committee, mandatory from 50 employees (Labour Code, art. 336), must meet after any accident with serious or potentially serious consequences (art. 339). Our courses end with a drill on your site and a written debrief.
How is pharmaceutical GMP training delivered in Morocco?
By linking every rule to a gesture at the workstation: an operator must understand why records are made in real time and why a deviation is always reported.
The Moroccan framework is Law No. 17-04 on medicines and pharmacy. Medicines must be manufactured under the GMP rules issued by the authorities after consulting the national council of the pharmacists’ order, and each batch is tested for conformity before release to the market (art. 20). Pharmaceutical establishments must comply with these rules and have premises suited to their operations (art. 80). The pharmacy inspectorate checks compliance (art. 130), and breaches of GMP carry a fine of MAD 50,000 to 100,000 (art. 156). The Moroccan Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AMMPS) states that it oversees the application of GMP and carries out inspections. These articles are cited from the text of the law published by the Ministry of Health; the detailed GMP rules for your establishment are in the official texts to which the law refers.
For contract manufacturers and exporters working with European customers, the working reference is the EU GMP guide in EudraLex Volume 4: Part I in nine chapters, from the pharmaceutical quality system to self-inspection, Part II for active substances, and the annexes. Take a contract manufacturer near Casablanca preparing for a customer audit: the course starts from the findings of its last audit and works back to the relevant chapters.
What should data integrity training achieve?
A change in practice, not just in vocabulary. Data must be attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original and accurate, the principles often summed up as ALCOA, and trainees must apply them in a lab notebook as well as in software.
The WHO Guideline on data integrity, published in 2021 as Annex 4 of Technical Report Series No. 1033, covers data governance, risk management, training, good documentation practice, computerised systems, data review and corrective action. In the EU guide, Chapter 4 (documentation) and Annex 11 (computerised systems) are the anchors, in their January 2011 versions, still the ones published on EudraLex in November 2026. We work on your own records: batch records, chromatograms, audit trails, access rights.
Cleanrooms, qualification and validation: which references?
Annex 1 of the EU GMP guide for cleanroom work, Annex 15 for qualification and validation.
Annex 1 (manufacture of sterile medicinal products) has been fully applicable since 25 August 2024: training covers gowning, movement, interventions, environmental monitoring and the contamination control strategy. Annex 15 has applied since 1 October 2015: qualification of equipment and utilities, validation of processes, cleaning and methods, and the handling of deviations.
Why train on environmental aspects and carbon footprint together?
Because they rely on the same data. The aspects and impacts review required by ISO 14001:2026 already lists energy, fuel and waste; a carbon footprint under ISO 14064 or the GHG Protocol converts them into emissions.
ISO 14001:2026 was published in April 2026, with a transition period ending on 30 April 2029. For exporters, the carbon question usually arrives through a customer questionnaire or the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). The course teaches teams to collect reliable data and present a result that stands up to scrutiny. For certification, see ISO 14001 certification; for reporting, see ESG and CSR.
How is the training organised and funded?
On your site, in public sessions or online through OmniLearn, in French, Arabic or English; Spanish and Portuguese on request. Every session follows the same sequence, from the placement test to the numbered certificate: see before, during and after training.
For pharmaceutical sites, modules are combined into a custom path: see custom programmes and paths. First aid, fire and permits to work belong to the occupational health and safety domain.
In Morocco, ACG is eligible for OFPPT special training contracts (CSF). In-person training entered in the plan before delivery falls under the planned-training rate, within a ceiling based on the declared vocational training tax, and OFPPT sets the amount. Modules followed online are not covered by CSF. Rules, sources and the simulator are on the CSF funding page.
