Food safety
Getting a site ready for BRCGS, IFS or FSSC 22000, then keeping it ready from one audit to the next.
The only consultant registered with the BRCGS Consultants Scheme in Africa
The problem
A certification audit is not prepared the day before. GFSI-recognised standards require a living HACCP plan, a food safety culture that can be measured, supplier control and evidence at every step. International buyers ask for certification before the first contract is even signed.
For a site that exports, a major non-conformity can cost a market. The work is to build a system that teams actually apply, not a binder of procedures.
What we do
- Gap analysis against the target standard, chapter by chapter
- Building or overhauling the HACCP plan according to the Codex Alimentarius
- Writing and updating documentation: procedures, records, plans
- Training for production teams, the HACCP team and managers
- Internal audits and a mock audit before certification
- On-site support on audit day and handling of non-conformities
- Supplier audits anywhere in the world
- Store inspections for food retail
- Food safety culture assessment and improvement plan
Our method
Step 1. Gap analysis
The gap to the standard, chapter by chapter, observed on the shop floor.
Step 2. Action plan
Priorities, owners and timeline up to the audit.
Step 3. Building the system
HACCP plan, prerequisite programmes, documentation and records.
Step 4. Training
Production, quality and management, on your documents and your lines.
Step 5. Mock audit
A full audit under certification conditions.
Step 6. Certification
Present at the audit, with a plan to close the gaps found.

What is the difference between BRCGS Food, IFS Food and FSSC 22000?
All three are recognised by the GFSI. BRCGS Food and IFS Food are audit standards published by their respective owners; FSSC 22000 builds on ISO 22000, supplemented by prerequisite programmes and additional requirements. The right choice depends first on what your customers require.
Do you work with packaging manufacturers?
Yes. We prepare packaging sites for BRCGS Packaging Materials (Issue 7) and IFS PACsecure.
Do you carry out supplier audits abroad?
Yes. We audit suppliers anywhere in the world on behalf of manufacturers and retailers.
